STL Scale Resize Calculator

Reprint a 3D model in a different scale. Enter the model size and both scale denominators to get the resized dimensions and the exact percentage to type into your slicer.

Selected: 1:32 (1:32)

Selected: OO Scale (1:76)

Enter your current model size and both scales. The app resizes the model and gives you the STL resize percentage to use in your slicer.

Your result will appear here.

How to resize an STL for a new scale

  1. 1. Measure the model in its current scale — for example the height of a figure or the length of a hull.
  2. 2. Enter that measurement, then choose the current scale and the scale you want.
  3. 3. Press Calculate. Type the STL resize percentage into your slicer before exporting the print.

Formula and worked examples

Current scale denominator ÷ target scale denominator × 100 = STL resizing percentage

Resize fromResize toResize percentage
1:351:4835 ÷ 48 × 100 = 72.92%
1:561:3556 ÷ 35 × 100 = 160%
1:721:7672 ÷ 76 × 100 = 94.74%

Going to a larger scale means a percentage above 100%; going to a smaller scale means a percentage below it. A 200 mm hull printed at 1:35 becomes 200 × 0.7292 = 145.83 mm at 1:48.
